Data Log for Microsoft Band

Data from Microsoft Band 1 & 2 will be stored to the SD card.The log of the data will have option to log Continuously or Interval based timer.

Displays and Stores MS Band's data: Acceleration, Rotation, Heart Rate, Skin Temperature & Contact status, UV Index, Calorie, Pedometer and Distance Trackers.
MS Band 2 has additional data: Heart RR, Skin GSR, Brightness, Air Temperature/Pressure and Altimeter senors/trackers.
Requirement: Microsoft Health app & MS Band must be installed and synchronized correctly.
Exported data is in CSV (Comma Separated Values) that you can import into your spreadsheet and do your analysis.
Location of the data should appear under a folder "MSBandDataLogger" on your external SD card.Each sensor data is under it's name and the date it was stored.
Switching between metric/imperial units will generate a new header within the CSV file.
Option to store in separate files or combined single file format.
Use your favorite file explorer to view them.
Files may not appear if the phone is attached to your PC when you captured the data until you reattach to the PC.
Release notes: 1 Band cannot be in Exerciser, Sleep, or other modes.
Enabling the Band modes will stop sensor data from being streamed/logged.2 Does not check if you have space - so not much error checking.3 The Altimeter, Distance, Pedometer & Calorie trackers are running totals.
It is counted from initial band power up.
Only a factory reset will zero out those numbers.4 16ms sample rate time stamp option is from the band 1 and is not consistent5 Default folder location is the Android internal sdcard (not the external sdcard).6 Continuous log function will drain the phone/band.
Use the Interval to extend the battery use.
Interval mode - this is being improved on.
Please send an email to me if it is not working.7 Your phone power management (like Samsung 'Smart Manager') may indicate that this app is causing your phone to run slow.
This is caused by the 'On' duration.
You will need to disable those power management apps or place them to ignore this.
Permission usage:1 For storage of preference settings & CSV files to the SD card: • modify or delete the contents of your USB storage • read the contents of your USB storage
2 Connection to the band: • pair with Bluetooth devices
3 Power settings will be used • wake lock
